LOOKING FOR ANY INFO PLEASE.
ALEXANDER SHERRIFFS & ISABELLA McKINNON
Married on 27 November 1846 in Edinbrugh.
Residing in Old Post Office close  Edin/B.

The IGI (International Genealogical Index) at www.familysearch.org has the following three children listed as having been born to Alexander Sherriffs and Isabella McKinnon:

1. ISABELLA SHERRIFFS - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 28 AUG 1855 Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland
 
 2. ALEXANDER SHERRIFFS - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 28 AUG 1855 Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland
 
 3. EUPHEMIA SHERIFFS - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 05 SEP 1852 South Leith, Midlothian, Scotland
 
You will notice that the top two are twins.  They were born and registered in 1855.  This was the first year of official registration in Scotland and as such gave a good deal of information.  If you got one of these birth certificates from 1855 it would tell you what age the father was and where he was born.  The same for the mother.  It would also tell you how many children then had and whether male or female and whether living or dead.  It will also give you their marriage date and place.  This was the only year this information was given.  You could get this record at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk    This is a pay to view site where £6 will buy you 30 credits.

Great minds think alike, I have been doing what you said
with great results, on the IGI & Scotland/P.
Alexander Sherriffs Born Old Machar Aberdeen about 1815.   wife
Isabella McKinnon  Born  Sleat  Isle of skye about 1817
 found children.
Jane chr 03 Dec 1848,     James chr 18 Aug 1850
Euphemia 05 Sept 1852,   Alex & isabella Born 28 aug 1855.  no images on Scotland/P  for 1st 3 children.
Have images for birth of the Twins. Alex age 40 Isabella 38. plus, James marriage cert in 1872 Glasgow, mother is
decesed.  James & Ann is my GG/ Parents.
will now try and find Alex & Isabella parents.
