Hi Hotdog

Well, I can't see that family in 1841 at the moment, but there is a George Carow b. 1837 Breage, living Breage in 1841 and 1851 with his parents George and Janifer/Jane.
Do you have George's marriage certificate? That will give his father's name :D
-
No Sorry do not have any certs for them at moment, many thanks for what you have been able to give me so far.
Regards Margaret
-
Margaret - you're welcome - but if you get that marriage certificate and find George's father's name, it might be not too difficult for us to find the family :)
At the moment, the two families are nothing like proved! Either one or neither could be him (unlike his wife ;D )
THe GRO index for the marriage is Vol 5c. Pg. 402 . Helson, Q4. 1859.
Or maybe some has access to the parish registers or can go to the Cornwall records office ?
-
marriage is on the Sithney opc's website. Richards family is the correct one, Francis was one of the witnesses. I think the other witness may be a parish witness, but not the parish clerk as he was Thomas Russell who appears on many a marriage, and is in my tree. ;D
