Several LIMINGS are mentioned including:

'..Mr George Liming was a well known figure in Crondall during the period of the Napleonic Wars. He kept a small school and acted as Parish Clerk and Surveyor. He was a man noted for his prodigious strength and was also 'champion stone thrower' of North Hants. It is on record that he could hang a hundredweight on his thumb and still write his name on the ceiling with the same hand, that he could throw a stone from Crondall church half way down Church street, a distance of 150 yds. and that he could place his toe against the base of Crondall church tower and jerk (not throw) a stone to the top of the tower, a height of 86 ft...

Hello Liming researcher.  I am researching the Liming name in the US for a friend whose mother was Pearl Liming b. in 1889 in Nebraska and married to Everett Leroy McGuire also b. in Nebraska.  I have traced this family back to John Lyming of Crondall, England and I am looking for anyone with more info on this family.  I am quite willing to share what I have from the US Liming family.  Lynn Schrag

Hello Lynn, We have huge Liming family tree in USA, however, could not find McGuire.  Are you able to connect John Liming with a family in Crondall?  See
