 ???hi, rootschatters, and todays problem issss,
i have been tracing kneens in my tree,(from the i,o,m also neen,nean)
and i have came across ellen kneen, b iom, aged 68 in the 1881 census
living at derwent st cockermouth, with her g,daughter and gg,son,
surname of bolad ?
i,ve tried bold bolled boled, and got nowt.
any ideas ?

Is this the grandson?

Births Mar 1881 
BOLAN    Joseph         Cockermouth    10b   535

I think BOLAND is more likely actually.  However-

Births Jun 1859 
BOLAN    Elinor         Cockermouth    10b   460

 ;D, hi geoff, it looks like you bailed me out again,
i was really stumped never thought of adding a N, i just
considered another vowel or different spelling of the same
word.  ;D

Nor did I - I just looked for Joseph in Q1 and Q2 1881 in Cockermouth to see what turned up. ;)
