Title: 1851/61 census lookup Kearns in Alton

Hi there,
I am trying to find any of the Kearns family in Alton, Cheadle for this time. In particular I am trying to find out who the family were of Eliza B: Cheadle 1843. Any help would be appreciated..... ???
Does anyone else have one family who are just so inconsistent, difficult...........and hard to find? I shall never again complain about my ag labs on the other side that stayed in one village!

don't know if this is of any relevance, but this Thomas Kearns is listed in Whites History of Staffs 1851 (page 769) in the Alton directory:

'Kearns Thos plumber, painter &c'
