Here is the 1901 census, did you mean the 1901? Also its West Ham Essex, not Hampshire
address 41 Sarah St
Edward H Goreham, head, age 32 stoker on stationary engine born London Old Ford
Harriet E Goreham, wife, age 27 born London Old Ford
Florence M Goreham, daughter, age 4 born Essex West Ham
Albert E Goreham, son, age 1 born Essex West Ham

Iwill see if I can find Edward on the 1891 census.

There is a marriage for Edward Henry GOREHAM in the West Ham RD Jun quarter 1895 4a 16 with one of the two possible matches being Harriett Elizabeth M SANT.
This looks like it could be your couple and should furnish some futher details on them and their fathers if it is them and you can get the certificate. Do you happen to know Harriett's maiden name - from one of their childrens' birth certifiates perhaps?
Best wishes

Many thanks Nicky & Casalguidi ;D, what a rapid response!! That gives me something else to go on now.
Best wishes & cheers Stella ;D ;D ;D

Just another thought, yes, the children's mother's maiden name was SANT. As pointed out, I'm in the wrong area, West Ham is NOT Hampshire (thanks Nicky) should I change to the Essex list?
If not, would someone please try for the 1881 for this same family at same address??
Thanks & kind regards, Stella ;D ;D

Hi,
I'm the great granddaughter of Florence Goreham. I'm currently putting together a family history and would appreciate any information. I know that the family moved to Australia between 1901 and 1915 as my grandmother was born in 1915 and Albert was enlisted in the Army.
Any information would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Hello Rossd02,
Good to hear your reply.Just got back from Xmas hols. My husband is a grandson of Florence Goreham. We have lots of info if you would like to pm me. Kind Regards, Flocklet. :)
-
Sorry, new to this - what does pm mean?
Also just as a warning, people can react strangely sometimes but my grandmother was the illegitimate daughter of Florence May Goreham. Just so that there's no surprises.
Her birth name was Irene May Goreham, but when adopted by her grandparents her name was changed to Betty May Prince, she was born 10th of November 1915 in Melville Hospital, Western Australia. We were told that Florence had died, but after doing some investigating have found that wasn't so.

Hello Rossd02, Welcome to Rottschatters ;D. PM means personal message. If you look on your profile (face) it will have a line to send a personal message. If you do not want the whole rootschatters reading a specific post you can use this.
Just to establish we have the same Florence May Goreham, her parents are Harriet & Edward Goreham. They came from Essex. Does this match your info? Are you in Australia?
Kind Regards, Stella :)
