Hi
Dont know whether anyone could help me here?
Im trying to find the marriage details for a George Archer born abt 1801 in Wiltshire and he married a woman called Kate, but i dont know her surname. She was also born around 1801.
Im not to clear on where they lived, but got strong feeling they could have been living in Chilsledon

Any help would be great

Hi,

1851 shows a married Catherine Archer, born 1804 in Badbury, as a servant in Badbury. No husband with her.

Badbury is just outside of Chiseldon, and funnily enough I went to school with an Archer who lived in Badbury!!

Will keep looking.

And ........... Maria Archer marries William Baden Walker dec quarter 1843 registration district of Swindon (up the robins)

the marriage doesnt appear to have taken place in chisleden sorry although i do see these 2 baptisms-
both children of george archer and catherine
thomas bapt 10th aug 1823
henry bapt 24th dec 1826
both in chisleden
