According to Genuki Holdshot was divided in Upper & Lower and was made up of several parishes.

"LOWER HOLDSHOT, a hundred in the Basingstoke division of county Hants, containing the parishes of Hartley Westpall, Silchester, Stratfield-Mortimer, Stratfield-Turgis, North Waltham, Stratfield-Saye, and part of Woodmancott, comprising 12,330 acres."

"UPPER HOLDSHOT, a hundred in the Odiham division of county Hants, containing the parish of Heckfield and part of Eversley, comprising 11,190 acres."
