Hi, I am hoping someone can help me to fill in some blanks regarding my Gr. grandfather Jabez Taylor b 1849c.
From what I have already he married Jane ?????? in 1868 - but don't know where or date. They had 2 children that I know of Lillian b1879 and Archie b1889 but where there any others?
I have no record of what happened to Jane but Jabez then married Hannah ???? in 1897but don't know where or date. They had 3 children that I know of John W. 1898, Marie 1900 and Jabez 1908, but again where there any more children?

Last query - the 1891 census shows only Jabez 48, Jane 44, Lillian 13 and Archie 2.
They were living at 58 Ellesmere Road, Ifton Heath, Oswestry.

Hi Mo,
Thanks for your help,
I did find same record on 1881 census, but on 1891 the writing is clearer and it is Lillian, ages are the same.
I have been trying to lookup death certs to see what happen to Jabez first wife Jane but the ones I have tried have proved fruitless as yet.
Regards
Mike

Mike,
Jane Taylor (Nee furber) died in Oswestry in 1896. Jabez married Hannah Edwards in 1897, their son John Willoughby Taylor (b 1898) married Beatrice May Paddock (b 1897) at Ellesmere Parish Church 22 Sep 1921.
John Willoughby and Beatrice had at least one daughter named Marjorie Joan Taylor (1922 - 1991), she married Richard Patrick O'Brien (1923 - 1996) and had 4 children, Sheila (1950 - 1990), Hilary, Christopher and Malcolm.
Sheila was my first wife, and we had two daughters,,, Rachel (b 1969) and Clare (b 1970).
I hope this information is of some use in documenting your extended family. If you need any more information please contact me.
Regards
Gwyn
