Title: First Time Poster with ?'s.

Greetings!

I would love to know the best way to find out more information on my heritage.  All that I really know is that my great grandfather came over from Scotland.  I do not know where.  My grandfather's name was Ellis Boyd and he settled in NE Arkansas.  ANY help would be much appreciated.

Best advice is, always give approx dates and ages where known. Have you found Ellis Boyd on any Census(es)?

Thanks.  I am 28 now.  My grandfather settled in NE Arkansas in the early 1900's and my great grandfather came over (we think) around 1880.

Not your age. _Theirs_. Have you found them on any census(es)? If you have, can you post the details.

Hello there - try this! - put 'surname boyd scotland' into Google and see what comes up, you'll be amazed, loads of info..
