A list of monumental inscriptions in Ashkirk Churchyard was published in the 1962 volume of the Hawick Archaeological Society's transactions.
can someone help me find this publication or what it says?

One of the surnames appearing on the gravestones in the Ashkirk churchyard was King. Is anybody able to do a lookup for me please?

mgscott We have corresponded many times and you know I did the transcription of Ashkirk. Well I used the original 1962 copy as a template but all the stones were everywhere and was little help until the end when we cross-referenced all the entries and we then included all those(very few-less than a dozen) WHICH WE DIDNT FIND BUT WE INCLUDED THEM AT THE END TO MAKE SURE ALL WAS RECORDED..
THE CD IS STILL AVAILABLE FROM WWW.SELKIRKSHIREANTIQUARIANSOCIETY.CO.,UK
