The McKenzie's made Rocking Horses and toys in Lambeth and Islington from at least 1840's. Is anybody linked to this family?

Hello nannysteph
I too am looking for an Alexander McKENZIE who was a Rocking Horse Maker in London.
The furthest back I have got is that an Alexander McKENZIE was cited as having occupation of a Toymaker at the marriage of his son, also an Alexander McKENZIE, to Ellen SWEETSUR in 1933 in Church of St.John, (perhaps this was also in Stanford Hill, Middlesex at that time?).
The father Alexander McKENZIE who was Toymaker at that time had married a Frances SHELLAKER (MS?) who had previously been married to a Mr COULSON.
Also, I am led to believe that one of the Alexander McKENZIEs was born in Dumfries, and was a Rocking Horse Maker, possibly in Fife.
Does this match your information at all? Look forward to hearing from you.
Buzzy (alvagirl) - and apologies if I have sent this to you twice.

Hi Both,
Alexander Mackenzie the toymaker is my great great grandfather. I have some details on my family tree at ancestry.co.uk. If I can help you with anything, please let me know. I am so interested to know more about him. If you have any information for me, I'd love to hear it.
Hope to hear back
Hollie
