Hello: I'm afraid I don't have these mentioned in my Wallaces. here is a brief description of what I do have. James Wallace b. 1828 to James Wallace and Annie
( Agnes) Stevenson. I found an Agnes Stevenson on the 1851 census in Glasgow with a son James Wallace. I do know that James was born Old Kirkpatrick Dunbartonshire. these Wallaces were born there as well and with the mother's last name it would seem to be correct.
James married Mary Buchanan in Glasgow (1851) and moved to Bo'ness where most of their children were born. James and Mary both died in the 1870s. Donna

Most of my WALLACEs were based in Fife. But a couple did move out of the county to Lanark & West Lothian.

Hi,
I am looking for more info on the Wallace Petrie connection.
Elizabeth Petrie had an illegitimate son called Andrew Wallace, on Andrews' death certificate it has yet another Andrew Wallace as his father.
Andrew junior was born in 1804 in Dalgety Bay Fife Scotland and died 22 July 1872
Any info would be great as this has lead me to the proverbial brick wall and as Andrew junior was illegitimate I am unsure of how to proceed.
Good hunting

HI; I'm afraid I can't see a connection for the Wallace/Petrie combo. My Petries originate in Irvine Ayr. briefly John Petrie Lives in Bo'ness then off the Glasgow after marrying Mary Henderson i 1896. the Wallaces are only on the fringe of the Petries. sorry. Donna

Hello Icini
I have a James Wallace b abt 1830, born ? According to IGI (M116616 He married a Catherine Boag in Abercorn (Parish of Dabry?) 22 Apr 1857.
I have abt 3 generations of Boags in the area so far, but know nothing about the Wallaces. James and Catherine emigrated to Canada between 1857 and 1861. The second name of 2 of their sons was Mungo - is this a common name, do you know.
PS love the photo (our new grandchild is 11 days old today)
