Yes, Station turns into High St and it appears to be the main road in the area. Look at Google maps.

Hi Theresa
There is a business listed in (at least) 1968-1983 telephone directories - "F T EVERARD & Sons Ltd" (ship owners & tank lightermen - registered office) High St, Greenhithe but no number for the property is shown.
If you google "34 High Street Greenhithe" you will find a recent planning application and, as it appears to be a listed building you might find some details of the building (possibly even a picture) at http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/
28 High Street, Greenhithe, Kent.
34 High Street, Greenhithe, Kent.
11 Station Road, Greenhithe, Kent
What are the dates and sources for these addresses you have?
There's loads on the web about EVERARD ship builders in Greenhithe.

The current registered office of the FT Everard group of companies is in Barror in Furness.

Hi
Everards still have an office in Dartford, on the Crossways estate (Just down the road from Hight Street Greenhithe). I think it mainly sells insurance now. The ship management side moved to Barrow last year. They were also recently sold to a larger company, but still retian the F T Everard & sons name.
My company used to provide warehousing and delivery to the ships for their spare parts, until they moved to Barrow.
I work about 3 mins from Greenhithe, so if you want any photos let me know.

I think Therea would really like you to knock on the doors and ask who lives there ;D
If you're setting off down the High Street you'll need a pint first ;)
-
Yep know that pub well... ;D
I think the Everard offices were on the other side of the road before then bend, but I could be wrong.

I have a photo of 28 & 34 High street.
If you PM me your email address I'll send them over.
11 Ivy Villas, Station Road is hiding. Its not on the Station road that leads into the high street. I think it might be in an older part that was cut off when the new bypass and London road were built.
I'll have a look tomorrow to see if it is where I think it now is.

11 Ivy Villas, Station Road is hiding.
DA9 9NE includes 1-14 Ivy Villas if that's any help.
I'm looking at DA9 9NE now on Multimap (birds eye view) but if I'm looking at the right thing it looks like a recent development - a row of seven semis.

Hope you got the photos of the high street houses.
Ivy Villas, as pharmakon says is a modern development. As best as I can find out from "locals" these houses were built in the 1970's.
They used to be in Station road but the improvement to the station and new roads cut station road in half. The old houses that were Ivy Villas were all pulled down and eventually replaced with these current houses. The road name was changed to Ivy Villas.
Just thought, it might be worth trying to contact the Dartford museum. They might have something on the Everard family.

In case Theresa want to investigate archives, I'll just clarify a point that some people get confused about.
Although the church records are at Medway archives, Greenhithe is not in Medway and Kent Archive Service are the people for all other non-ecclesiastical records.

Thankyou for the help. and Yes I did get the Pictures. Thankyou again

Hi,
Just seen an old post of yours regarding 28 and 34 High Street, Greenhithe. Both houses are still there, I moved into 28 in 1998 and still living there.
