Can anything be done to improve this picture. I do not have the original I am afraid.
This is George Goodman Payne taken about 1888 in Foston Leicestershire.
I do not normally post so close together but I have just received this and I am impatient to send it on!
Just a clean up would be great.

Thank you Charles and Tom..that is much better. On the one I posted the back ground looked like a painted set!!
This is another one I have just received from America, I know where it was taken, I have been to the farm and met the present owners, so would like to email this bit of history on to them.
Thank you again

Brenda,
I think your George Goodman Payne is related to my George Goodman Payne who came to Australia.
Mine is descended from John Payne and Deborah Cox.

Thank you Joy and Carolyn, my photograph seems to have made a come back and very pleased i am too!
I have been away from the site for quite a while, my family history has taken a back seat due to house move and new Grandchild, but something like this makes me want to start again, just need to find the time!
Thanks again

Hi awormald
It is an unusual name, but my George Goodman Payne did not go to Australia, although one branch of the family did, what period of time are we talking about.
My GGP married Sarah Tebbs in mid 1800's.
Any help!

Brenda,
My George Goodman Payne (1840-1898) was the gt-grandson of John Payne and Deborah Cox who lived in Monks Kirby. I beleive he may be a 2nd cousin of yours.
