Title: Margate - Faversham
Post by: egdal on Tuesday 15 April 08 09:53 BST (UK)
Looking for any informations regarding my GGrand Grace Emily Brown (nee Tucker), b. 1885, Bedminster, SOM/GLS/(Tucker after Nov. 1930).

Her last know addresses were:

6a Charlotte Square, Margate, Kent. From ? - abt 1929
70 Ospringe Road, Faversham, Kent. From abt. 1929 - ?

She could have remarried after November 1930. Is said to have died abt. 1950.

I would be very pleased if any one had access to Electoral Regristers of Margate and/or Faversham 1920-1940 or perhaps had photos/informations regarding the 2 addresses.

Does any one know of a Lawyer W J Wilson and a Law Firm (1928-1930) at 3 Cecil Square, Margate, Kent?

Kind regards
Egdal

Hi Egdal,

I am close to both so can probably check them out, here are how they look in live maps though;

Charlotte Square, Margate (http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&FORM=LMLTCC&cp=sjxqm7h3fsmn&style=b&lvl=2&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=7605206&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1)

Ospringe Road, Faversham (http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&FORM=LMLTCC&cp=51.313155~0.8794&style=h&lvl=18&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=7605206&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&where1=70%20Ospringe%20Road%2C%20Faversham&encType=1) (really bad quality)

There is a good chance that 6a Charlotte Street doesn't exist anymore as that whole area of Margate was flattened by bombs during the war.
