Title: Pescot - Nutgrove
Post by: ses on Monday 14 April 08 18:58 BST (UK)
Does anyone know anything about the history of the estate called Nutgrove which is now a suburb of Prescot. At some point it was the home of the Nuttall family and my Whitfield family farmed their land. I would like to locate the Nuttal family records or manorial records for the period around 1800 to fill in some gaps in the family story.  Is anyone researching Nutgrove/Nuttalls or Whitfields in the area?

Any leads would be very welcome.

It would help if I spelt it right. It's Prescot.  ses

Nutgrove is not a suburb of Prescot,  it is a suburb of St Helens.

There is a book that was produced at the St Helens Local History Group some time ago about the Nuttalls and the House the lived in which is still there.
