hi
is there any way i could find out if some one made a will
in 1906 and 1915 in durham south shields
i have no idea how to find that kind of information
any help would be welcome

If you have a full name and date of death, you can obtain a copy of the will [if one has been made] by writing to York Probate Registry, Castle Chambers, York, YO1 9RG, with the details.
Enclose a cheque for £5, for each will, [non-returnable] made out to HM Paymaster General.
They will search for 4 years from date of death.

Check with your local library or family history centre.. to see if they have the
National Probate Calender Index.
This is a searchable index for anyone who left a will or administration paper..
It is free to search if they have it..
