They arrived Port Chalmers NZ in 1849 on the "Cornwall" listed as 24 & 30 ,
with their son David bapt 16 5 1847 Colmonell.

Elizabeth died Oct 1895, David died Oct 1923.

You could get the death certificate of david for an idea of how many kids,

or if you know the exact date of death, look up the newspaper notice.

or if its the 1st gen kids, davids brothers and sisters, then get Elizabeths newspaper death notice.

If you know when they died, you should also know where.

Thank you both Althea & Mark for your interest & suggestions.

I am trying to help  another re MUIRS - they have no connection with myself.

Will get back if & when I find out more.

Many thanks,
Tiff

Hi, I don’t kn0w if you ever found the information out but I am a descendant of John Muir & Elizabeth Kennedy McWhirter. They are my 4th great grandparents. I have a large family tree on the Muir’s I’m working on if I can be of any help - being it’s been many many years
