According to www.lawsons/ca, my relative
Lilian Emma PECKHAM Married John James CRETNEY on 15 Sept 1888
/ on I.O.M.
(I have the correct lady, backed up by scources on her age & birthplace, Hants)
I then find no further sign of this John James CRETNEY with her.
BUT I find Lilian Emma bears to Peter Hastie(on gravestone, & saying she's his wife) DODDS at least five children (names important - William Joseph DODDS, George Peckham DODDS, Margaret Lilian DODDS, John Henry DODDS & Alice DODDS). 3 of these children are buried with these parents in 695 & 696 of Lezayre cemetery.
BUT< BIG> BUT .....Peter DODDS mar. Mary KIM on 26 Dec 1888 and worse still,
I find that 5 other children are registered to John James CRETNEY & Mary KIM/LEADBETTER, in 1889, 1891, 1893, 1894, &1897!!
And to COMPOUND THE AGONY AND CONFUSION, I see
Peter DODDS mar. Mary KIM !!!(look carefully) 26 Dec 1888.
Is it possible that there are errors on the site?
SUMMARY:
Peter DODDS marries Mary KIM Dec 1888
John James CRETNEY marries Lilian Emma PECKHAM Sept 1888
Peter DODDS & Lilian Emma Peckham have evidence of family activity.
John James CRETNEY & Mary KIM/LEADBETTER have evidence of family activity.
AND none of these show up in that last column of POSSIBLE spouses, whatever that might mean!
Just for a moment this makes me wish I were dead, just for a moment, so I could check it out with them in person.
Can anyone out there clear up this for me?
