Keep a pen handy...!

1881:

Waggon Hill, Penshaw, Durham

Lancelot Slowther, Head, 34, Coal Miner, Durham Hetton
Mary Slowther, Wife, 26, Cumberland Alston
George W Slowther, Son, 7, Scholar, Durham Esh
John Slowther, Son, 5, Scholar, Durham Beamish
Jane A Slowther, Daughter, 3, Scholar, Durham Beamish
Susannah Slowther, Daughter, 1, Durham Penshaw

RG11/4974 Pg26

With such an unusual name, I'd imagine both Lancelots are Grandsons of the original one?

That is the 1871 census...always forget to put minor details like that!

RG10 = 1871
RG11 = 1881
RG12 = 1891
RG13 = 1901

That'll come in handy only if I remember to put the reference number!
