Hello
Would anyone be able to help locating a parish record of a baptism of John Thomas Hall in Lisnaskea/ Aghalurcher around 1854/55? He married Margaret McKeever on 9th January 1872 in Lisnaskea Church of Ireland.
I'd be very grateful for any help :)
many thanks

Marriage certificate should give his father's name and occupation which might help confirm or eliminate any baptisms that are found. It's also possible that John's parents were married after the start of civil registration (1845 for non-Catholic marriages).
Some of John's siblings might be been born after start of birth registration- if you know the mother's name then it would be worth checking IGI (they have some but not all Irish births 1864-c1882).
You could also try looking at LDS catalogue to see if they've microfilmed any of the church records in the area although many old Church of Ireland registers were destroyed in Dublin.

thanks very much for your reply!
Where would I be able to find pre registration baptisms- do I have to go to PRONI? Unfortunately I dont know his mother's name, that's what Im trying to find out.
Also, the LDS- do you have to visit in person?
thanks again

LDS catalogue is available online at www.familysearch.org. If you do find a microfilm that you want to order you can do so through your local LDS library for a small fee. When the film comes in they will notify you and then you can view it there.
To find pre-registration baptisms you need to see if the church records still exist for the period you need. PRONI have some but not all church records.
Londonderry Sentinel:

That's great thanks for the info and the interesting snippet about Mark Hall! :)

Not sure if Mark Hall was connected to your Halls but included it just in case as he did live in the area.

Hi, I hope you are still around. I was wondering if you ever found that baptismal record for John Thomas Hall. He was my Great-great grandfather and I haven't been able to find much on him other thatn his marriage to Margaret Mckeever/McIver. Was that woman in your photo related to her? Would love to hear from you we might be able to help one another.
Regards Cas
