Title: Joseph William Renshaw
Post by: cokesidedoors on Wednesday 26 March 08 17:02 GMT (UK)
In Q4 1911, there is a marriage recorded for Joseph William Renshaw.

I believe he married Annie Mather.

If anyone could confirm this and tell me who the parents of Joseph and Annie were, I'd be very grateful.

There is a marriage registered Q4. 1911 in Prestwich with for Joseph W Renshaw.  There is an Annie Mather on the same page, and also Elizabeth Smith.  You will need to get the marriage certificate to confirm they are a couple if you aren't already sure, and to find their father's names.

Do you know where and when either of them were born - it may be possible to find them on the 1901 census.

I've been told that it was Annie Mather who he married, but hearsay is not proof!!

A son of Joseph lists Annie ????? as the mother, hence its a good bet.

Hi

There is an Annie Mather in Prestwich on the 1901 census, born 1894, parents Arthur and Mary Ellen Mather.
But as Mum says's only way to be sure is to get the marriage certificate
