Hello, Can anyone tell me where the Royal Hotel in Musselburgh stood or is still standing.
My Grandparents worked there when they married 1924.

I am looking for information on the Hood Family Tranent
My Grandfather was John Thomson Hood. and Annie Herkes who Married John Hood.
She gives her address as Royal Hotel IN  Musselburgh on her marraige cert.
Any help would be appreciated as to the location of this place.Kind Regards Lostribe. :(

The Royal Hotel stood on the High street on the right hand side coming from Edinburgh and just before Kilwinning Street.  Sadly it is no longer there.

b. abt 1882 in Gladsmuir E.L. daughter of Edward Herkes and Mary
Hardie. Any connection?
