Would some kind soul with access to passenger lists look for the traces of my grandparents Jimmy Russell and Annie Magee from Co .Antrim ,Northern Ireland who married in Capetown on 31 December 1902. Jimmy is said to have gone out to the Cape to work as an engine driver and preceded Annie who we believe arrived the day she married. :) :) :)

Hi Jack
I should think these are correct, they're the only two that fit although the ages are out :-\
Miss Magee is the only one and with the other J. Russells, the occupation is wrong or there's no age or occupation recorded!

I have just discovered a letter written by my grandfather John William Elliot (aka. Jack) in 1891, headed Loco Dept, Cape Govt Rly, Kimberly, S.A. He was born aboard his father's ship and registered in Nagasaki, August 1870. He lived in London and later (1901 census) in Ireland. Could his name be on a passenger list ?
