Post by: kezza618 on Monday 24 March 08 09:01 GMT (UK)
My 4th great grandparents were Thomas & Elizabeth Madeley nee Griffiths. Thomas 1788- 1861 died in Ruabon, Denbighshire, Wales. Elizabeth Griffiths 1785-1853 also died in Ruabon, Denbighshire, Wales.

I don't have any information on Elizabeth. If you could provide me with info on her parents, occupation, sibblings etc, i will be truely grateful...many thanks..Kerry

These posts are quite old now and so I hope you are still out there, William. I am researching my wife's family. She is also a direct descendent of Samuel Griffiths (born 1745), her great x5 grandfather. Her great x2 grandfather John Griffiths married Caroline Bellis. Their daughter Eliza Griffiths married John William Collier. My wife is a Collier.

Any information on where the Griffiths family lived in Erbistock would be appreciated plus anything on Samuel and further generations back.

It was Paul who was asking, William, so I gave him the info as I'd given you the  Penfold address on the other thread and you'd not given him any details apart from the address.

Grateful for anything. Duplication doesn't matter if it confirms stuff I have already or proves hunches correct (or wrong!)

I had a quick look for burials in Erbistock for Richard, Paul, but couldn't find any there. The register entries were very muddled so that might explain it. I didn't find anything in Welsh Wills.

I'm busy at the moment but will look later. William might have more info.

I'll report back if i find anything of interest.
