Title: Cutler family of Sprouton village, Suffolk 1500's
Post by: WhereRthey on Monday 17 March 08 17:13 GMT (UK)
Hi,
An American relation has asked me to help with information about one of his ancestors by the name of CUTLER.

He would like to know how the name CUTLER originated, if possible, and the meaning of it.

He has a lot of information (see below) but would like to know more about descendants of this family who still live in England (ie did not emigrate to USA)
Any help very gratefully received.

Robert Cutler & wife Alice Gardener ----

his son...      Thomas Cutler Nov 7 1578 - Jul 3 1610 (married Anne Doudy)

his son...      James Cutler abt 1606 England - May 17 1694 Cambridge Farm, Lexington, MA,  USA (married Mary King)

his son...     Thomas Cutler abt 1648 Cambridge Farm Lexington, MA, USA (married Abigail)

More info on direct descendants in USA if required.... but can anyone help with English ancestors of Robert, Thomas or James Cutler above?
All from Sprouton, Suffolk, England?

Many thanks for your interest and anticipated help.
