William James Slack born C1818 Dulwich, Surrey, Migrated to Australia C1840. Married in Maitland NSW Australia on 22nd Feb 1841 to Eleanor Maude/Maria Cormick Born C1816 London. I'm housebound at present so can't get to Genealogy library to check back and thought somone may be researching this line. I believe William's parents were William James Slack (also) and Sarah Stokes. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Reesoz,

Not my line but I can tell you that the IGI has Thomas Slack marrying Sarah Stokes on 24 May 1812 at St James, Paddington, London, England.  Their son, William James, was christened on 1 August 1819 at Dulwich College, Dulwich, London, England.  No date of birth given.

There is also record of an Eleanor Cormack born on 26 March 1814 and christened on 20 April 1814 at St Mary, St Marylebone Road, St Marylebone, London, England with parents of Edward and Mary Cormack.  Nothing else seems to come close.

Hi
Just in case you did not realise it the IGI is available online at www.familysearch.org so no need to go to the library for look ups there.  You can do it from your computer!

If you look at the beginners' board there are lots of tips about what is available online.   It should keep you happy for hours!
