I am trying to establish the last resting place of E Tegla Davies, Wesleyan Minister once of Tregarth.
I have him and his wife listed as buried at Y gelli Cemetery Tregarth. I have visited the church grave yard on three occasions without any success. Is this the correct locetion or is there another cemetery in the district.
Thanks

Gwynedd Family History Society have transcribed the MI's for this graveyard. You may be in luck insofar as a list member may have a copy or possibly other information re the graveyard. Otherwise here's the relevant info re GFHS

Gwil,
Thanks for your guidance, but unfortunately the Gwynedd Family History site Guest Book is not available at this time, :(( I've just tried again )Maybe it will return shortly.

That name seems to be familiar to me. Pretty sure it is in Gelli. I have an idea it may be a grave with a monument for a headstone and the name/s run along the long edging stones marking out the grave area.

Thanks Welsh Gen,
I really must try harder. :-[ Maybe when the weather picks up again I'll make another effort.

Hello Hen Locsin
You may have found them already, but I can confirm that E Tegla Davies and Jane Eleanor Davies are buried at Gelli - plot J24.

Hiraeth,
Thanks for your information; I did not find the plot which you have so kindly highlighted. I have been unable to revisit, due to poor health, and in fact my cousin, also involved in F.H. located the plot and obtained a photograph which he has kindly copied for me.
I do still intend to revisit when able and armed with your information it should be a very simple process.
Many thanks for your trouble.
