Title: 1851 Census Whitwell

Wondering if anyone has access to the 1851 census of Whitwell.

From the indexes I have located A HANCOCK family on page 506 and two GEE families on page 499.

If anyone can do a lookup for me, it would be much appreciated.

Whitwell, Derbyshire- my greatgrandmother married Robert Covine Godley in Whitwell and subsequently my g-grandfather William Wilkinson in 1877. I should appreciate any information on the Godley family.

It seems they went to Bradford in Manchester for about 2years b4 Robert died. so the problem is solved for now tal Gerald

Whitwell has  two very good websites
     www.whitwell.com      a general site
     www.whg.co,uk   local history group and gives a comprehensive list of details from parish gravestones. There are a number of GEEs

  Whitwell family history group are now on  www.wlhg.co.uk  you can download a database of the Churchyard burials.

Hi you seem to have some of the same ancestors as i do. I got the family tree from a PETER GODLEY he sent me the family tree for the godleys. If you would like to contact him here is his email,I am sure he will help you as he helped me.I have alot of the tree.
