I've just joined Rootschat and noticed that you're researching Welch.  I'm researching the Welch line from Shepton Mallet, currently concentrating on James Welch, b June 1851.  Do you have any relevant info we could share?

Thanks for your message. My Welch line begins with my 4xgreat grandmother, George Welch, who was born in Broadwinsor, Dorset, in 1710. To date, I don't have any Shepton Mallet Welchs in my tree but if I do come across any, I will get back to you!

my Great Grandfather Edward white married his 1st wife in 1887, in Avon somerset. Her name was Fanny H.F. Scott, they had at least 4 children. Her fathers name was Albert Scott. She has quite a few siblings.
Any chance we are looking at the same family?

i have a simular name living with my relatives in Pentrebach Road , Pontypridd ,South Wales on 1881 census
