Geez Annie,

Anyone would think you are popular or something !!!

I’d like to vote for the “or something”.

You are a very kind hearted person who thinks of others before yourself.
Even with the worry of a pending operation, you still spent your spare time helping others with research.  You always have kind words to say about people.  You have a good sense of humour and above all, you are just an all round nice person.

I am proud to call you a friend.

OK…enough of that sentimental stuff…..Can't let it all go to your head.

Remember:
-   Eat one live toad the first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day !!!

Now, just to cheer you up a bit, I thought I’d explain some medical terminology to you.
I’m sure you really need to know these things…..

Benign.......................What you be after you be eight
Artery........................The study of paintings
Bacteria.....................Back door to cafeteria
Cesarean Section........A neighborhood in Rome
Catscan......................Searching for Kitty
Cauterize....................Made eye contact with her
Colic...........................A sheep dog
Enema........................Not a friend
Fester.........................Quicker than someone else
Fibula..........................A small lie
Hangnail......................What you hang your coat on
Impotent......................Distinguished, well known
Labor Pain...................Getting hurt at work
Medical Staff................A Doctor's cane
Morbid.........................A higher offer than I bid
Nitrates.......................Cheaper than day rates
Outpatient....................A person who has fainted
Pelvis...........................Second cousin to Elvis
Post Operative..............A letter carrier
Recovery Room............Place to do upholstery
Secretion.....................Hiding something
Seizure........................Roman emperor
Tablet..........................A small table

Take Care my friend.  Get well soon.

Annie,
Good to hear you are closer to home and among people you know.  Nothing beats a country hospital.  The city ones are too impersonal.

However, so saying that, being in hospital is still not the most pleasant thing.....unless you are having a baby.....oh!  You aren't are you?  LOL   Just Kidding.

Anyway, I thought I'd send you this article that I found on ninemsn news.

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=278667

I hope it puts a smile on your face as it did me.

Jackie

Woman sat on toilet for 'two years'
Thursday Mar 13 10:31 AEDT

AP - US authorities are considering charges in the case of a woman who sat on her boyfriend's toilet for two years and was stuck to the seat when the boyfriend finally called police.

Sheriff Bryan Whipple, in Ness City, Texas, said it appeared the 35-year-old woman's skin had grown around the seat.

She initially refused emergency medical services but was finally convinced by police, medical officers and her boyfriend that she needed to be checked out at a hospital.

"We pried the toilet seat off (the toilet) with a pry bar and the seat went with her to the hospital," Whipple said. "The hospital removed it."

Whipple said investigators planned to present their report to the county attorney in Ness City, Texas, who will determine whether any charges should be filed against the woman's 36-year-old boyfriend.

"She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body," Whipple said.

"It is hard to imagine. ... I still have a hard time imagining it myself."

The boyfriend told investigators he brought his girlfriend food and water, and asked her every day to come out of the bathroom.

"And her reply would be, 'Maybe tomorrow'," Whipple said. "According to him, she did not want to leave the bathroom."

The boyfriend called police on February 27 to report that "there was something wrong with his girlfriend", Whipple said, adding that he never explained why it took him two years to call.

Police found the clothed woman sitting on the toilet, her sweat pants down to her mid-thigh. She was "somewhat disoriented," and her legs looked like they had atrophied, Whipple said.

"She said that she didn't need any help, that she was OK and did not want to leave," he said.

She was reported to be in fair condition at a hospital in Wichita, about 240km south-east of Ness City.

Whipple said she refused to cooperate with medical providers or law enforcement investigators.

Authorities said they did not know if she was mentally or physically disabled.

Police declined to release the couple's names, but the house where authorities say the incident happened is listed in public records as the residence of Kory McFarren. No one answered his home phone number.

The case has been the buzz of Ness City, said James Ellis, a neighbour.

"I don't think anybody can make any sense out of it," he said.

Ellis said he had known the woman since she was a child but that he had not seen her for at least six years.

He said she had a tough childhood after her mother died at a young age and apparently was usually kept inside the house as she grew up.

At one time the woman worked for a long-term care facility, he said, but he did not know what kind of work she did there.

"It really doesn't surprise me," Ellis said.

"What surprises me is somebody wasn't called in a bit earlier."

The Doc has checked annie out and she has a bit of an infection... however, she's still laughing and joking and is very lucid so things could be worse I guess.

She's just a bit bored being stuck in hospital....but that's to be expected.

Annie says hi to all and thanks for all the good wishes although she hasn't read the message board yet.  She's heard about it.

Hello Everyone from Annie! :)

Annie is a little bit better as her off days.  I have spoken with her on the phone a short time ago, and she sends her love to everyone.  Anne thanks to everyone for their support.  She'll be going back to the hospital in Melbourne sometime next week. That's all I can say for now.

Liz

Hi annie

Some Hospital Bloopers that may give you a laugh.

Some more funnies to keep you in good spirits

BORED HUSBAND

A mild mannered man is tired of his wife  always
bossing him around, so he decides to go to a
psychiatrist.  The doctor tells him he has to
develop self esteem.

The doctor gives him a booklet on assertive  training.
He reads it on the way home.

When he walks through the door and his wife  comes
to greet him, he tells her, "From now on I'm the man
of this  home and my word is law. When I come home
from work I want my dinner  on the table. Now get
upstairs and lay me some clothes on the bed  because
I'm going out with the boys tonight. Then draw my
bath.  When I get out of the tub guess who is going
to dress me and comb my  hair?"

"The undertaker." she replies.

BREAK MY ARMS

"Doc," said the young man lying down on the couch, "you've got to help
me!  Every night I have the same horrible dream.  I'm lying in bed when
all of the sudden five women rush in and start tearing off my clothes."
The psychiatrist nodded, "And what do you do?"
 "I push them away."
"I see.  What do you want me to do?"
The patient implored, "Break my arms."

 URINALYSIS

One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Jack says

to Mike behind him, “My elbow hurts like hell.

I guess I better see a doctor.”

“Listen, you don’t have to spend that kind of money,”

Mike replies. “There’s a diagnostic computer at the

drugstore at the corner. Just give it a urine sample

and the computer’ll tell you what’s wrong and what to

do about it. It takes ten seconds and costs ten

dollars...a hell of a lot cheaper than a doctor.”

So Jack deposits a urine sample in a small jar and

takes it to the drugstore. He deposits ten dollars,

and the computer lights up and asks for the urine

sample. He pours the sample into the slot and waits.

Ten seconds later, the computer ejects a printout:

You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water

and avoid heavy activity. It will improve in two

weeks.

That evening while thinking how amazing this new

technology was, Jack began wondering if the computer

could be fooled. He mixed some tap water, a stool

sample from his dog, urine samples from his wife and

daughter, and masturbated into the mixture for good

measure.

Jack hurries back to the drugstore, eager to check

the results. He deposits ten dollars, pours in his

concoction, and awaits the results. The computer

prints the following:

1. Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener.

2. Your dog has ringworm. Bathe him with anti-fungal

shampoo.

3. Your daughter has a cocaine habit. Get her into

rehab.

4. Your wife is pregnant...twin girls. They aren’t

yours. Get a lawyer.

5. If you don’t stop playing with yourself, your

elbow will never get better.

DOES CHILDBIRTH HURT?

A woman goes to her doctor who verifies that she is pregnant. This is her
first pregnancy. The doctor asks her if she has any questions. She replies,
"Well, I'm a little worried about the pain. How much will childbirth hurt?"

The doctor answered, "Well, that varies from woman to woman and
pregnancy to pregnancy and besides, it's difficult to describe pain."
"I know, but can't you give me some idea?," she asks.
"Grab your upper lip and pull it out a little..."
"Like this?"
"A little more..."
"Like this?"
"No. A little more..."
"Like this?"
"Yes. Does that hurt?"
"A little bit."
"Now stretch it over your head!"

Annie, Hope this makes you smile.

Smiling   is infectious, you catch it like the flu.
When someone smiled at me today I started smiling too.

I walked around the corner and someone saw  me grin.
When he smiled  I realised I passed it onto him.

I thought about the smile and then  realised  what its worth.
A single smile like mine could travel round the earth.

So if you feel a smile begin  don't leave it undetected.
Start an epidemic and get the world infected.

Lots of love,  Bambam xxxxxxxxxxxx

ANNIE IS HOME
FROM
HOSPITAL

Although Annie is home from hospital, she will be having lots of rest and won't be able to do lookups for awhile.
If she doesn't, I'll just have to go down there and smack her bottom.  Then again, I might have to take a number and get in line.   LOL

Annie still tires easily so please don't bombard her with a zillion questions.

I'm sure you are happy to be home Annie.  No-one likes being stuck in hospital.

Jackie
