Hi, I am reasearching my husband's family tree and have discovered a link to Norton Bavent in Wiltshire. Does anyone have information on an Ann White (very common name I know!) who was born in Norton Bavent in 1789, married Levi Treasure and died on 21st June 1854?? Many thanks, Meg

1841 census HO107 963/14 folio 16
Stoke Farm Stoke Lane Somerset
Ann Treasure 50 Farmer
Levi Treasure 20
Exton Treasure 20
None born Somerset
plus 2 servants
adult ages (those over 15) are usually rounded down to the nearest 5 on the 1841 census. A Levi Treasure, a farmer, aged 36 born Corsley is living in Wells on the 1851 census.
The IGI which has coverage of the Norton Baven parish registers for the relevant period does not show any Ann White baptisms. It does show another White marrying in Norton Bavant around the time Ann marries Levi Treasure there.
HENRIETTA WHITE
WILLIAM BATTLE
Marriage: 31 JUL 1804 Norton Bavant, Wiltshire
A member submitted entry to the IGI (not taken directly from parish registers so should be treated with caution) gives this possible baptism for Henrietta.
Henrietta White
Christening: 09 JAN 1780 Corsley, Wiltshire
Father: Exton White
Mother: Elizabeth
and
ANN WHITE
Christening: 03 JUN 1788 Corsley, Wiltshire
Father: EXTON WHITE
Mother: EIZABETH
plus other children.
Later baptisms for Corsley which do appear on the IGI
Ann Treasure
Christening: 19 DEC 1813 Corsley, Wiltshire
Father: Levi Treasure
Mother: Ann
Exton Treasure
Christening: 19 JAN 1817 Corsley, Wiltshire
Father: Levi Treasure
Mother: Ann
Elizabeth Treasure
Christening: 06 SEP 1818 Corsley, Wiltshire
Father: Levi Treasure
Mother: Anne
There is a possible will for Levi Treasure at Somerset Record Office (though there are quite a few Levi Treasures so it may not be the right one)

Treasure Levi 1836 Stoke Lane (Stoke St Michael)
I can't see a corresponding burial entry in Stoke Lane around this time to confirm this man's age.

Hi Valda & Sue,
thanks heaps for your help.
it certainly sounds like Ann (married name Treasure) in the 1841 and 1851 censuses as Levi had passed away in 1836.
the christening date of 1788 certainly sounds plausible :-)
many thanks,
meg
