There is a Henry L McKay in the 1901 census aged 11 months

 168/2 ed 13A page 3  119 Chapel Street Aberdeen

William Mckay head 27  baker b New Pitsligo Aberdeen
 Minnie E "       wife  30             b Leeds
 Samuel   "       son    3             b Aberdeen
 William   "        son    3             b Aberdeen

From scotlands people it looks like William and Minnie married in Aberdeen

Is it possible that Henry made a mistake on his marriage cert

Hi, just wondering if you got any further with your search for
Henry L McKay. I noticed someone answered you with a 1901
census with a possible family / William, Minnie and family from Aberdeen, if this family is of interest to you i have some info on
them as William was my grandmothers brother.
The  L in Henry`s name stands for LEWIS.
Let me know if i can be of any help.
