Do you have the original photo of your uncle? My uncle is J James in your photo, this is the first photo I have seen of him? Trying to find as much info as possible about him ie what did he have to do with ambulances as that is what I remember my father talking about. Ta!

Hi dj1
I havn't got the original photo a cusion has, I'll ask him if there's any more information on it, I've sent you my email

Hi Robbo,
If it helps i believe the photo may have been taken in the grounds of B.M.H.Bowen Road.
I did my National Service in the R.A.M.C, 1960-1962 in 27 Co ,I only spent a short period of a few days at this hospital before being moved ,to Garrison Clinic Kowloon ,and later to B.M.H.Mount Kellett.
You Could Try R.A.M.C. Museum who may be able to help.
Q.A.R.A.N.C. [Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps] site has a harrowing account of the way Doctors and Nurses were treated by the Japanese ,even though medics act in relative neutrality by treating all casualties on both sides.
Best Wishes and Good Hunting
