ok, have just found him in 1881 census, wife Elizabeth, son Griffith, do you know if the Henry Owen aged 84 lodging with them is his father?

This previous rootschat topic tells you about Bangor cemeteries:

Hi Barbara - the person in the 1881 census is not his father , his fathers name was Robert Owen Whose profession on Williams marriage cert was labourer. His death was 30th January 1882. the informant was his son Griffiths and the residence was still 15 menai views, so they still owned the lodging house or worked there. 1891 still had elizabeth still there with the other son Edward.
William was married in Llandegan, His wife Elizabeth hughes was from Llandegfan. I would presume he was buried in a local church in Bangor but having no knowledge of the area at all I wouldnt know what church was local. Many thanks for your help

At the time of the 1881 census they were lodging at no. 14 and he is listed as a builder, aged 56, employing "2 Wm" (workmen).
Worth mentioning for look-ups in previous census is his son Griffith A. Owen is aged 16 and was born in Beaumaris, Anglesey. You probably now need to look for William in the 1861 census for Beaumaris, Anglesey Will do it later but bit busy at the moment, maybe someone else will assist.
Also Henry Owen, widow, aged 84, born Beaumaris, Anglesey is listed as a Lodger, occ: Clergyman Ch Of England

Thanks Barbara
I have all the census details. I really just want to know if there was any way of finding out where he was buried. I cant get birth detail as its before 1837 and the parish records are not listed anywhere yet. Will wait to see if they come available on Genfair.
Thank you so much for your trouble.

I don't know if this cemetry has been transcribed - don't think it has. The burial registers however are in the Gwynedd Archives in Caernarfon. You can find them on the Gwynedd Council web site.
