Title: Coupland
Post by: Gigi on Thursday 21 February 08 08:01 GMT (UK)
Hello All,

Can anyone tell me in which parish Coupland would be? I couldn't find an IGI batch number so am assuming that Coupland is part of a bigger parish. I looked on Genuki but didn't see anything.

Thanks in advance,

Gillian

It is about two miles south east of Appleby and so is probably in one of the two Appleby parishes but I have no idea which.

Hi
Coupland is in St Michaels Appleby aka Bongate
But it could also be the area near Whitehaven but that is often spelt Copeland
but I have seen both areas spelt as the other
Coupland near Appleby is often reffered as Coupland Beck
