Can anyone help. I'm looking for information on a William Carson born around the 1850's. He had a son William, daughters Eliza Jane, Catherine Ann, Margaret. All these children were all born in Tyrone and moved when quite young to Belfast around the early part of the 1870's. Another daughter Mariah came along after the move from Tyrone. Family tales are of Fivemiletown and Coalisland, so it may be from this area. Also William was of the Protestant faith and his wife was Catholic. It would be interesting to find something of the Tyrone connection.

what was his wife's maiden name.
regards mary.

Hi Mary, Im not sure what William's wife's maiden name was.
I think that one of the daughters was named after her but not sure which one.
It may have been Eliza Jane or Catherine Ann (Kate Ann)
Still is a mystery.
Regards
Bern.

Hi
Did your william have any siblings? ie Nathaniel Carson who married Mary Ann Anderson daughter of Samuel and Martha Anderson Bally Gawley ?
Parents John and Jane Carson .

Hi MM,
William may have siblings but I have only his fathers name which was John.
It may well be possible that Nathaniel's father John are one and the same and that Nathaniel was William's brother..
William Carson married Mary Curgill ( sometimes spelt Cargill, Curgell, Curgil)
4th May 1863 at Aughnacloy Church.of Ireland.
Witnesses were Nelis McNamee and Elizabeth McDonald.
Parents. Groom, John Carson Postmaster
Bride, John Curgill Labourer
Maybe some of the above names will be familiar to someone.
I would be grateful for any other information on the Carson and Curgill families

Do not anything about William Carson. However Nelis McNamee was from Aughnacloy and was a cordwainer ie a shoemaker. He was married to Cath Daly. They had several children. He was a catholic.
