Hi everyone,
I am researching the Rev James PATE who was the Church of Scotland minister at Innerleithen, Peebleshire in the early to mid 1800s.
His wife name was Jean.
Any information about James Pate and family would be welcomed.
Regards,
Christine

This should take you to the Fasti Ecclesiae entry for James Pate.

I have a pdf copy of Reminiscences of Innerleithen and Traquair (1896) by Thomas Dobson in which he mentions Reverend Pate a few times. This is a chatty little walk down memory lane for Dobson, whose family owned and managed the Dobson woolen mill, Innerleithen, for many years.
Thomas recalls his boyhood and the many villagers who impressed his life--happy to send you a copy.

Hi Jane,
I am trying to track down a copy of that book as I am researching Robert Boyd and Leithen House. Would you be able to send me a copy. I would love to read it.
Kind regards,
Catherine Milne
