Post by: Tomthumb on Saturday 08 January 05 18:23 GMT (UK)
I would appreciate any information about a Thomas Carlin who moved to Coleraine and set up a delph shop in Long Commons. Could anyone help me or direct me in this research please

Hi Tomthumb :)

have you tried the Ulster Historical Foundation for birth or marriage details for Thomas?

                                      www.ancestryireland.co.uk/

Although the data base is not yet complete I have had some success in finding my family there. Only Antrim & Down are on line at present but you can apply to the Foundation direct for other Counties.

Regards
Darcy

Kate- you might not get a reply from the original poster since they haven't been online since March 2005.

I don't know how common a name Carlin is but there were a number of them who came to British Columbia in the late 1800's.

If you think this information might be useful you can access the BC Vital Records at
