Hi,
If children were being baptised in Totley Derbyshire, does anyone know which church would they attend.
Thanks KR

Hi KR
I couldnt see a mention of a church at Totley, I think the closest one is at Dore, which is about a mile from Totley.

It depends when you are looking at, All Saints Church opened in 1924 in Totley. Otherwise probably Dore as Ricky says or maybe Dronfield?

Hi
I have come across Totley baptisms in the Dronfield parish registers especially before 1844 when the chapelry of Dore was created.

Thanks for the replies. Woolspinster & Tuppie.
I forgot to mention a date, but I am looking from 1813- 1860.
Can I just recap, The chapelry of Dore was created in 1844, and before that people would use Dronfield Parish.
Do you know the name of the Parish Church of Dronfield ?
Many thanks

That is correct. The guide to Parish records at the Derbyshire Record Office is available as a download on their website.
http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/leisure/record_office/our_collection/default.asp
scroll to the bottom of the page and a number of guides are available.
Dronfield Parish Church is dedicated to St John the Baptists.
