Title: hms pepperpot

i was wondering if anyone could help me,i,m looking for information about bernard keaveney/keavney who was a sailor on the ark royal and hms pepperpot which were both sunk in WW2 i would like to know what happened to him,hoping someone can help

HMS ' Pepperpot' was, of course, HMS Penelope.

HMS Penelope nickname Popperpot by the crew.
She was Torpedoed by the German Submarine U-410.
On the 18th Feb 1945 and wast of Naples Italy.

In 1943 the ships crew had a book printed entitled "Our Penelope"  which had some black and white photographs of the ship and crew members. This book can still be found on some internet sites.

I seem to remember seeing on The Antiques Road Show some Naval Officer showing some "Penelope" items which had been donated to the Royal Navy from the Thunderbirds program in honour of either this ship or her replacement ???

Great ship big part of my family history my grandad worked in the docks where she was built then served on her through the war
