Hello Maycroft  -  welcome to Rootschat!    ;D

You don't give any idea of how old this couple may have been - 10, 40 or 80!   ???

However, I have found :

HO107 P. 758 Fol ? Pg 1
St Mary the Virgin, Pulham, Norfolk

Charles Groom  68  Ag. Lab  B. Norfolk
Mary Groom 67  B. Norfolk

and I hope they are the ones you're looking for ?

It is helpful for people searching if you can give as much information as possible - even if only something like  ... "over 50 "  it's better than nothing at all!   ;)   :D

Hi -

Well, I think this must be your Charles; although the age is a bit out, there is no other Charles Groom in Norfolk until one born c. 1821 and none at all in Pulham St. Mary

The ages were rounded by 5 in 1841, so he could have been 73.

Hi Mum44, Thanks for info re Charles Groom, does it say who else was at the same address? if so could you email me a view please .I have found him on the 1851 C and now have his death certificate, but am still trying to find his Mother and Father, as a matter of fact today someone is doing a search at the Norfolk Offices so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Regards Maycroft
