If any person is looking for a grave let me know the name. I will only be able to find it if it has a memorial. I do not do to the records office
I also stumble about other burial sites in North Stafford doing MIs when I have time, again any names let me know and what area. The general area I cover is from Stafford town northwards to the borders of other counties

Alf - you are a genius.
I don't think Ann & Richard are relatives - I will check them out on the censuses.
However James Kelsall is my 4 x gt grandfather! Could you give me a steer to where the stone is so I can stop by and photograph it on my next trip up to North Wales. Now if only I knew who James's father was.
Cheers
Jane

Richard is one of the fishmonger Kelsalls to whom I haven't been able to establish a link.
Richard and Anne are living in Queen St, Burslem in 1861

-
Hi belmichael64
I have not found any of your names, however there are about 12 that I did not finish and they are laid on the ground by a wall. Also I noted that there are a few that have been damaged and bits are missing they are also on the ground.
I will contact you once the other stones have been checked, these may belong to graves where the bodies have been reinterred at Carmountside when the road was widened and the church car park constructed.

Thanks Alf!

Hi Alf
I'd be very grateful if you could look out for any by the name of Degg when on your travels as have not been able to find any yet. They were in the Burslem, Shelton and Wolstanton areas. Thanks.
Crystal

Thanks Alf. Not the ones I was hoping for, but Samuel could possibly be the brother of 'my' Joseph. Some families seemed to like a biblical connection!
So will keep the details for later.
Appreciate your time.

Hello Alf, Thank you for looking, Holden

Hi Alf,
Please could you have a look to see if there are any people with the surname Hilditch. I have a Hilditch family living in Burslem on the 1841 census, however, the father appears to have then been widowed and 3 of his very young children disappear from future census records?
Any record of Hilditch deaths would be gratefully received.
Regards
Caroline

Hi Caroline
Sorry no Hilditch at the cemetery, well no headstones found. Have you any names you can give me so I can have a look around
Alf
-
Hi Alf,
Sarah Hilditch died 1846 aged 35 in either Woolstanton or Burslem. The missing children are Eliza born 1834, Henry born 1838 and Hannah born 1840.
Her husband was Thomas Hilditch b. 1814 - who I have traced with his son William to Congleton & later Burnley. I dont know when Thomas and Sarah got married (still on with that one by i assume around 1833.
Thank you
Caroline

Hi, just found this and wondered if it was too late to ask for information?
If at all possible could you look for an Annie Fisher, Burslem. Not sure when she died exactly but some time after 1915.
Her husband was george fisher.
Thanks,
Danielle

Hi Danielle
I have had a look at my data and I did not find a Fisher headstone

Hi Alf
Found your offer ot look at graves at St. Johns Burslem via a Google search. If your offer (which is over a year old now) still stands I would be interested in DWYNE OR DWINE and perhaps GARNER LEWIS & PICKERING.

Hi Alf
Found your offer to look at graves at St. Johns Burslem via a Google search. If your offer (which is over a year old now) still stands I would be interested in DWYNE OR DWINE and perhaps GARNER LEWIS & PICKERING. My Grandparents are buried in Burslem Cemetary, but there parents may be at St. Johns as they were married/baptised there. I have been to St. Johns but did not have the opportunity to look around for very long.
Just one other question - - is St. Johns Catholic?
Thanks Bill D
-
Dear Alf - I don't know if you are still actively answering queries about this graveyard, but, if so, I'm looking for the burial of the baby daughter of my ancestor James Ambrose Lockett.
Ellen Lockett
baptised: 11 Sep 1836
buried: 27 Apr 1837
The family maintained membership at St John's until they emigrated to the United States in late 1850. Thanks so much if you are able to help!
Debbie
