Hello vito,
The following Lurgan schools are listed in the 1861 Belfast and Ulster directory on the Lennon Wylie website www.lennonwylie.co.uk I've posted the link so that you can check to see if there are others. I included the Workhouse as I think some teaching was done in the workhouses.
Academy for Young Ladies. Mrs Green
Union Workhouse - Edward Despard, master ; Miss Anderson, matron George Ruddell, relieving officer ' James Ruddell, clerk.
Free Schools, North Street - Henry Clarke, master ; Mrs. Anderson, mistress.
Infant Schools - There are two infant schools, one in the Demesne, patronised by Lady Lurgan, which is conducted by Mrs. Bullick and the other in Union Street, conducted by Mrs. Murrow.
The free educational establishments were - a school which was supported by Erasmus Smith's charity, and an infant school solely supported by Lady Lurgan. A Mechanics' Institute was also established in the town.
Tullygally School, under the Church Education Society - Wm. Verner, master.
Lurgan National School - Patron, Rev. L. E. Berkeley ; male teacher, Thomas Donaldson ; assistants, John Nelson, William Dalton, William Morrison ; female teacher, Miss Lowry ; assistants, Miss Stewart, Miss Ginn. Music class, Samuel McGowan, teacher.
Dougher National School - Patron, Very Rev. William O'Brien ; master, William Cullen ; assistant teacher, John Marshall ; monitor, Murtagh Kennedy ; mistress, Mrs. McKeown ; assistant, Miss Ward ; mistress, Miss Larkin.

Hello All,
I am researching the McCaw family from Lurgan and was interested in the article on a William McCaw and Tullygally School.
Also I am researching the Lyness family from Drumgor.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
I have a photograph of Tullygally School I will have to dig out and upload to site.

Thanks , great photograph of Tullygally School, It would be great to name these pupils.
The name Uprichard is well represented in and around the Parish of Seagoe , I will have to check my family tree I am sure there is a Lyness, Lynass connection with Uprichard . The Lyness family I have been researching came originally from Drumgor Lane.
