Thanks for cleaning, it looks great.

Hoping this photo of Annie Jenkinson wife of previous photo sitter John.
I know that she died in 1884 if that helps.

Hello cheeky Sue,
Anticipating you asking for the pictures in frames , then redecorating your front room and hanging the pictures up.

Larger one available.

Oooooh, Jim! Niiice :D
Hi Sue...I see these pics are not dated yet, so I'll try. The lady's dress can't be seen well, unfortunately, but the buttons are visible. These is a triple row of them up the front of the bodice, and I have seen another photo of a woman wearing the same style of buttons, that was very precisely dated to July 15, 1877. The hairstyle, with the braid coiled on top of the head and the center part, and also the shape of the lace collar, also indicate late 1870s. So, my guess would be maybe 1877-88 or so.
Lovely photo, oh and the small book she is holding is supposed to denote literacy.
Cheers,
China

Thanks China and a big thank you to Jim......................a cheeky girl wish I had their money and their figures!! :) :)
The picture is definately before 1884 as Annie died in June 1884 and John did a vanishing act early on in the same year!
They look fantastic in colour, thanks again Jim

sue,
I'm quite sure you could have a figure like his if you work on it .
;D Jim ;D

Those figures were encased in whalebone and spring steel, and came at very great cost. I'm content with elastic waistbands, myself ;D
