help !!
ive found that Charles Rufus Marshall Workman was a pretty important person and was residant commisioner to the british solomon islands 1917 -1921,before that he was at Nauru
he died 1942 where i have no idea, any suggestions, he was 68 when he died
any suggestions to where he could be he was Married to Kate

According to his obit. in The Times, he died on June 28th 1942, aged 65, at Owmby, Grasby, Lincolnshire. He retired in 1931.

Thank You Stan for that , thats excellent , there was i thinking he would of retired off to Australia or somewhere, but back to Lincoln where his wife was from

He was educated at the Leys School and Christ Church Oxford, he was called to the Bar in 1900, and then joined the colonial service. He was in the South Seas for many years , and was in charge of the Australian Expedition which took possesion of the isand of Nauru in WW1. For ten years he acted as Colonial Secretary of the Gambia, and he was awarded the C.B.E. in 1927.

I lost access to my Lourdes96 account and back in 2012, computer and especially internet were new technologies!
