Hi
I'm hoping you good people might be able to solve a couple of problems I have with the attached photo. Unfortunately we are unable to agree as to who is on the photo, however there are some clues on the reverse but I'm afraid I cannot decipher too much of it.
Hopefully someone may know the spot where the photo was taken?
I'd love to know your thoughts.
Cheers

Hi Doggy, Sorry I dont know the area at all, but I thuink it says
Ann and Dad
? View gardens
?Corwen
? 1948
The white strip beyond Annes head is the river flowing towards Llangollen(?). They are standing on the lawn, which slopes down to our woods of scotch fig, larch, nut trees etc- and directly opposite cemetery where Dicks casket lies across the river and facing towards Llangollen(?)
Hope it helps

Hi Cavvytri
Thanks for that you certainly managed to decipher more than I ever could. Now to find the Ann in question.
Hopefully someone will know the spot after your description.
Cheers again

Looks like Carrog View Gardens. There is a village called Carrog near Corwen. Can't make out the word that appears to begin with B

Agree - it is Carrog View Gardens
I would think that it was on the south side of the Dee looking North- ish because the mountains on the South side are pretty steep and closer.

Is it Bonwm - between Corwen and Carrog - just south west of Carrog.
