I thought I'd be the first to post a message on here this year - try and bring some life to the forum!
John Rowlands, who kept the Onnen Inn on the High street in Bala, was my gt.gt.gt.grandfather. One of his daughters, Dorothy went to Blaenau Ffestiniog where she married and raised a family. Her grandaughter, Jane Davies (my grandmother) eventually "migrated" in a similar way to Llanberis.
I'm hoping that other descendants of John Rowlands, or anyone else whas any information on John Rowlands, may see this and respond so that we can share information.

Hi both
I wonder if you'd be able to give us some dates. I'm researching a John Rowlands on behalf of my husband. His great grandfather was born in Talysarn Caernarfonshire in 1858. His father was also John Rowlands but although we know he was born in 1820 or so we have no idea where he was born.
Looking forward to hearing from you
