Post by: Amymay on Friday 18 January 08 15:14 GMT (UK)
Does anyone know where I can find details of army recruitment in Bradford around 1842/3, have a relative who was in Queens County Ireland circa 1844.

Hi Amymay,

I'm not an expert, but I can share some info that I was given by the folks on Rootschat when I had a WW1 query.  I seems the Bradford Library is a good start.

Try:

http://www.bradford.gov.uk/information_and_communication/library_and_information_services/libraries_local_studies.htm

Apparently Bradford Local Studies Library Floor 5 holds quite a few records.  Good luck!

regards,
Jill
